Award-winning pianist Carter Johnson, First Prize winner of the Dublin International Piano Competition and Silver Medalist at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, brings to life a program that explores the echoes of home and memory. Interweaving Schumann's gracious Arabeske and luminous Ghost Variations with the contrasting voices of Schnittke and Bartók, the journey culminates in the Davidsbündlertänze, a work that traverses the full spectrum of human emotion.

Home is not only a place we return to, but also a voice we come to recognize as our own. From Jessie Montgomery and Clara Schumann to Penderecki to Beethoven’s revolutionary Kreutzer Sonata, this program celebrates bold artistic voices across three centuries.
Marking the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death, it honors a legacy of resilience, courage, and the enduring triumph of the human spirit. Joining Kallos Artistic Director are two of today’s most celebrated artists: violinist Sirena Huang, Gold Medalist of the 2022 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis, and cellist Aaron Wolff, prizewinner of 2024 Naumburg International Cello Competition.
